Breaking Dawn on Canada AM
On November 15 we celebrate the end of the Twilight Saga and being a professional dreamer with a PHD in Mythos, I was approached to represent the Twi-hards Nationally. Canada AM offered Vanessa (@southerdownj) and I a morning slot to talk up the movie after attending the Toronto premiere the night before.
Follow this link to see how we did:
Twilight Dawn Breaks on Canada AM
Being the youngest has it's perks
At my day job I am the youngest girl, and the youngest crew member. Which means that naturally they protect and coddle me, which I don't mind. I have had my hair braided. My lipstick colour perfected. Protected from doing anything weird or unusual. I am the baby, for the first time. But one of the coolest things about people taking care of you is this: One of my co-workers drew me. It was like I could feel her pencil tracing the lines of my face. Because people dote on me, I got this...which at any street fair would have cost me $20:) Thank you Renee, you multi-talented hair lady.
Starry with a hint of geek
While in Montreal this past June, I had the pleasure of creating my own Star Wars (they made it very clear that this a TradeMarked, LucasFilm etc..) character. Meet: Ramid Alia. As you can see she a Wookie. What you may no know is that she is a Bounty Hunter with experience building starships and outposts. She also won a city in a high stakes card game. Though avoids the public by electing a chancellor and city administrator. Growing up on the forest moon of Endor she enjoys hang-gliding with friends. Pretty well rounded character, though I don't think I should be wearing Boba Fett's amour; but that's just a little nerd alert.
One good sign deserves another
While researching a show I hope to develop I found this. It is the only street sign that is legible throughout the first 5 episodes of this show, and it's my name? are you serious? So I took a screen shot of it, is that lame? Perhaps, perhaps it is very lame, but I thought, "I have never heard of a Lloyd street, Main, yes, King, yes, but Lloyd Street? NO." Never, so I am taking it as a sign that I am destined to create and produce this new little idea. I am looking for Lloyd St all over now. Do they really exist? That would be truly outrageous! (which I only know how to spell cause I used that shampoo from 1990-97, Cindy Crawford spokesperson bitchin' smell Truly!)
To Bang or Not to Bang, that is the question.
So, I have been dealing with the question, should or shouldn't I get bangs. I mean seriously. I have a huge forehead that I think is appalling when I think of it, though I am often distracted by way worse things about myself. I have been having this debate for months. I mean MONTHS, not just the figurative months, actual months. Sometimes, I think I should bite the bullet and do it, no sooner have I made the decision than I am debating it again. Damn you decisions and damn the high cost of headshots which I must resemble until I want to spend another $500! Bangs shouldn't be this big a deal, even though they are. Shame, shame, cause I look good in bangs.... wait a min! I think I just answered my own many MONTH long debate; Bangs it is! Wait for it! or check out the webisode: Melicious Bangs!
